• Red window in middle (4x6 format): Start at 9, then 8, 7, etc.

Foto-400 is a high speed black-and-white panchromatic camera film for both outdoor and indoor usage. Its wide exposure latitude makes it especially suitable for use under low light illumination and difficult light conditions. Film is a very good choice for landscapes, offering good separation of green shades and its high contrast and red sensitivity is perfect when you want to shoot under bad light conditions too.

Use Foto-400 is recommended under normal light conditions when greater depth of field is needed.

The speed value refers to a developer Foto-400 average gradient of 0.65. The exact exposure index depends on the prevailing shooting and processing conditions. Special feature of light meters, shooting conditions, planned artistic effects and deliberate processing changes are to be taken into account in setting the lens aperture.

HANDLING

The film is coated onto a polyester base and must be loaded and unloaded under subdued light to avoid lightleaks. Once the film loaded and the camera closed it is best to shoot three times for nothing to prevent lightleaks on your first pictures. 

PROCESSING

Recommending developer for Foto-400 is UP-5 developing time from 5 - 8 min., as alternative recommend developer G 74 or G74 c + AD 74, developing time from 20 to 70 sec. depends on required image contrast.
